This company, with 75 years of production activity, now has a nominal capacity of 4,500 tons of beetroot daily consumption and the ability to refine 900 tons of raw sugar per day, as well as the possibility of producing sugar with international standards, including the active units of the country in terms of quantity and quality. After the operation of the factory started and the creation of direct and indirect employment opportunities, migration from surrounding villages and cities to the outskirts of the factory began and gradually turned into an official settlement, and even the name of this settlement was called Sugar Factory; which was gradually established with the increase of population in Noushin city in 1375 (Noushin sugar brand name of Urmia sugar factory) and currently it is located next to the factory with a population of 12,000 people.
Part of the economy of this city depends on the activity of the sugar factory, and another part depends on the activity of agriculture and animal husbandry.
The nominal capacity of the factory at the beginning of its establishment was 700 tons of beets per day, and gradually, especially during the last twenty years, with the development of equipment and devices and the updating of production technology, its capacity was increased to 4500 tons, and in addition to this establishment and operation The unit for extracting sugar from molasses by chromatography method has increased the efficiency of product production.
